About the series
In 1987, First Comics brought Michael Moorcock's fantasy epic to a new medium with Hawkmoon: The Mad God's Amulet, a four-issue miniseries illustrated by Rafael Kayanan. Co-written by Moorcock and Gerry Conway, this adaptation follows the Eternal Champion Dorian Hawkmoon in a post-apocalyptic Europe, wielding the sentient Runestaff against the dark forces of Granbretan. It remains a faithful and visually striking entry in the Moorcock canon, capturing the brooding, sword-and-sorcery tone of the original novels.
