Havenkwartier [Sailors Succes Series]

The long-running Dutch comic Havenkwartier (part of the Sailors Succes Series) began in 1952 under publisher A.Teeuwen Holland (ATH), telling tales of the bustling harbor district. Though its initial run spanned only three issues, artist Wilprand became the most frequent visual hand behind this enduring series. A modest but persistent piece of post-war Dutch comics history, it captures the everyday life and character of a working waterfront.
