Hauteville House

Set in the aftermath of Napoleon's exile, Hauteville House (2012–2025, Finix) follows the descendants of a noble family as they navigate a secret war against a shadowy, ancient order threatening Europe's fragile peace. Spanning twenty-one issues, this French historical fantasy series was primarily written by Fred Duval and Tobias Haßdenteufel, with art by Thierry Gioux, Christophe Quet, and Emem. Its blend of swashbuckling adventure, occult mystery, and detailed period atmosphere made it a standout in the bande dessinée tradition.
