Hauk

In the mid-1950s, Danish readers followed the airborne exploits of Hauk, a comic strip hero whose adventures were serialized across 62 issues by Serieforlaget, Se-Bladene, and Stabenfeldt. The series drew on the talents of British writers Frank Hampson and Alan Stranks, with artist Desmond Walduck providing the most consistent visual identity for the strip. A product of the post-war adventure-comic boom, Hauk stands as a notable Scandinavian-published example of the imported British storytelling style that defined the era.
