Hanna-Barbera Snooper and Blabber Detectives

The Australian publisher K. G. Murray brought Hanna-Barbera’s wisecracking cat-and-mouse detective duo to comics in 1978 with Snooper and Blabber Detectives. This short-lived series, running just two issues, adapted the playful, slapstick mystery-solving of the classic cartoon into the four-color page. While a minor footnote in the vast Hanna-Barbera comic library, it captures a specific moment when Murray was licensing and localizing American animated properties for the Australian market.
