Halo: Initiation

Before the Master Chief, there was Sarah Palmer. This 2014 Dark Horse miniseries, written by Brian Reed with art by Marco Castiello, follows the future Spartan Commander from her early days as a UNSC Marine through the brutal selection and training that forges humanity's elite supersoldiers. It expands the Halo universe by grounding its sci-fi warfare in one soldier's personal journey of sacrifice and resolve.
