About the series

In the late 2000s, Image Comics published Gutsville, a three-issue miniseries from writer Simon Spurrier and artist/writer Frazer Irving. Set in a bizarre, claustrophobic world where a lost tribe of Victorian explorers has been swallowed by a giant beast and built a society within its innards, the story follows a disgraced musician who uncovers a conspiracy that threatens their fragile existence. Known for Irving's moody, painterly artwork, this short but dense series is a cult favorite for its unique, surreal premise and darkly imaginative world-building.
