Gunsmoke

Based on the hit radio western, Export Publishing's Gunsmoke ran for eight issues from 1949 to 1950, adapting the adventures of Marshal Matt Dillon and the rough frontier town of Dodge City. The series is notable for featuring early comic work by Graham Ingels, who would later gain fame for his macabre horror art at EC Comics, alongside artist Walter Johnson. Though short-lived, it stands as a faithful, pre-television artifact of one of the most iconic western properties in American entertainment.
