Grifter / Badrock

From 1995, this two-issue Image Comics team-up paired the wisecracking, gun-toting Grifter and the hulking, rock-skinned Badrock in a short-lived but punchy crossover. Written and co-plotted by Eric Stephenson and Rob Liefeld, with art by Chap Yaep and Liefeld, the series pits Cole Cash and Thomas John McCall against a threat that forces their contrasting styles into explosive cooperation. A snapshot of the early Image era's fondness for high-octane character mashups, it briefly united two of the publisher's most recognizable WildStorm and Youngblood heroes.
