In 2007 and 2008, French publisher Semic S.A. released a two-issue Grendel series that brought Matt Wagner's signature creation to a European audience. Scripted by Philippe Touboul alongside Wagner and Diana Schutz, the issues feature artwork by Wagner and Tim Sale, offering a compact, visually striking glimpse into the Grendel mythos.
