A ten-issue series from 1964 to 1968, Great Classic Newspaper Comic Strips, curated by Edwin Aprill, collected early newspaper adventures of Buck Rogers and the debut of The Spirit by Will Eisner. Featuring the work of Philip Nowlan, Dick Calkins, and Rex Maxon alongside Eisner, the series preserved seminal strips from the dawn of the comic-strip era for a new generation of readers.
