About the series
Greaser Comics (1971–present, Half-Ass Press) is a single-issue oddity from the early 1970s underground scene, most frequently illustrated by George DiCaprio. Its premise remains a cult curiosity: a gritty, grease-stained slice of biker and hot-rod culture filtered through the raw, DIY sensibility of the era. Though it never extended beyond that one issue, it endures as a snapshot of the moment when counterculture comics turned their gaze to the open road and the chrome-and-leather outlaw ethos.
