Graphic Showcase

A short-lived but visually striking anthology from C.C.A.S. Publications, Graphic Showcase (1967–1970) ran for just three issues, serving as an early showcase for the lush, detailed art of Mike Kaluta and Steve Hickman. Kaluta, who both wrote and drew for the series, helped define its moody, atmospheric fantasy and science fiction tales. Though brief, the series is a notable artifact of the late-1960s underground and small-press scene, offering a glimpse of the distinctive illustrative style that would later make Kaluta a legend in the field.
