Good Jive Comix

Grass Green’s Good Jive Comix (1972–1973) was a short-lived, two-issue series from Pooo Bear Productions that showcased his singular voice as both writer and artist. A pioneer of underground comix, Green brought a warm, satirical energy to the page, blending humor and social commentary with a distinctly personal, hand-drawn style. Though brief, the series stands as an important artifact of the early 1970s Black comix movement, highlighting a creator who helped expand the medium’s cultural and creative boundaries.
