About the series
In 2015, Marvel launched Ghost Racers, a four-issue series by writer Felipe Smith and artist Juan Gedeon that spins directly out of the Secret Wars event. The premise drops the Spirit of Vengeance into the dystopian Battleworld domain of Killville, where monstrous racers compete in a deadly, high-octane demolition derby. Smith and Gedeon reframe the Ghost Rider mythos as a brutal survival spectacle, pitting different versions of the flame-skulled antihero against each other in a darkly inventive, fast-paced arena. It’s a compact, standalone thrill ride that showcases Marvel’s willingness to remix its supernatural corner during the multiversal chaos of the 2010s.
