In Gesticulating Gentrification, a single-issue comic from Conundrum Press (2025–present), the series examines the physical and social displacement of urban neighborhoods through the lens of exaggerated, expressive body language. The story follows a cast of characters whose gestures and movements become a visual language for the tensions between longtime residents and incoming development. This debut issue establishes a distinct, word-light approach to storytelling, prioritizing silent panels and kinetic art to explore themes of change and loss.
