Geschichten aus der Hood

From 2017 onward, Berlin-based Adopekid Comix has been publishing Geschichten aus der Hood, a nine-issue series that brings raw, street-level storytelling to German comics. Created by a collective of local artists, the series captures the everyday lives and struggles of urban youth with an unflinching, DIY aesthetic. Its significance lies in giving voice to a rarely depicted subculture, blending hip-hop energy with slice-of-life drama to document a specific time and place in contemporary Germany.
