George R.R. Martin's The Hedge Knight

In 2006, Marvel brought George R.R. Martin’s Westeros to comics with The Hedge Knight, adapting the author’s own novella set a century before A Song of Ice and Fire. Writer Ben Avery joined Martin to script this tale of a lowborn squire’s first steps as a knight, with Mike S. Miller’s art capturing the grit and honor of the Seven Kingdoms. A faithful, visually striking debut for Martin’s fantasy world on the comic page, it launched a series that would continue to explore Westeros’s past.
