Geheime Oorlogen

In the mid-1980s, Dutch publisher Juniorpress brought Marvel's cosmic-scale crossover Secret Wars to a new audience as Geheime Oorlogen, a nine-issue series that condensed the epic battle between Earth's mightiest heroes and villains on an alien world. Translated from the original storyline, this edition was most frequently illustrated by the dynamic pencils of Mike Zeck and the crisp inks of Bob Layton, whose work defined the look of the event. While a direct adaptation, it stands as a notable piece of European comics history, offering Dutch readers a pivotal, universe-shaking Marvel saga in their own language.
