Gay Comic

Gay Comic is a landmark one-shot comic published in 1944 by Marx, later reprinted by Philmar, P.M. Productions, Amex, and Bairns. It is widely recognized as the first American comic book to feature openly gay characters and themes, predating the underground comix movement by decades. Though a single issue, its historical significance as a pioneering work of queer representation in comics cannot be overstated.
