Gatecrasher

In the late '90s and early 2000s, Gatecrasher brought a supernatural-heist twist to Black Bull Comics. Written by Mark Waid and Jimmy Palmiotti, and drawn by Amanda Conner, Jim Calafiore, and Nelson DeCastro, this six-issue series follows a team of dimension-hopping thieves who break into alternate realities to steal magical artifacts. With its blend of dark fantasy and caper-movie energy, the book showcased a creator-owned sensibility and a sharp, character-driven approach that stood out on the independent scene.
