Gare du Nord

Max Andersson’s Gare du Nord is a singular, surreal comic from the Swedish publisher Tago, launched in 1997. Over a single issue, Andersson both writes and illustrates a disquieting, deadpan exploration of urban alienation and bodily horror, set against the backdrop of a train station. Its stark, expressionistic linework and absurdist tone mark it as a distinctive cult artifact of 1990s European alternative comics.
