Gambit & The X-Ternals

About the series
In 1995, Marvel unleashed a four-issue miniseries that put the Cajun card-slinger Gambit at the head of his own team, the X-Ternals. Written by Fabian Nicieza with art from Salvador Larroca and Tony Daniel, this short but energetic run dropped Gambit and a crew of mutant misfits into a high-stakes, time-hopping adventure that leaned hard into the character's roguish charm. It remains a cult-favorite snapshot of the '90s X-Men era, showcasing Gambit as a leader and deepening his ties to the wider mutant underworld.
