About the series
In the wake of the X-Men's rise to prominence, Marvel gave Gambit his own brief 1993–1994 solo series, written by Howard Mackie with art by Lee Weeks. This four-issue run peeled back the Cajun mutant's charming, roguish exterior to explore the shadowy corners of his past as a thief and his mysterious ties to the Marauders. It's a compact, character-driven spotlight that helped define the Ragin' Cajun as more than just a card-flinging fan favorite.
