About the series
A three-issue miniseries from Carlsen in the early 1990s, Gøngehøvdingen adapts the classic Danish historical figure Svend Poulsen Gønge into comic form. This short run captures the swashbuckling adventures of the 17th-century guerilla leader during the Dano-Swedish wars, bringing a piece of Danish folklore to the medium.
