About the series
In the late 1940s, Italian publisher Sergio Bonelli Editore introduced Furio Mascherato, a masked avenger series that ran for 38 issues. Written primarily by Gian Luigi Bonelli with art by Edoardo Attanasio, the strip blended adventure and mystery in the postwar fumetti landscape. Though brief, it stands as an early example of the house style that would define Bonelli's long legacy in Italian comics.
