Fraternity

The Belgian series Fraternity (Dargaud Benelux, 2011–present) is a compact, two-issue comic that explores the tensions within a secretive brotherhood. Though its run is brief, the story is defined by its atmospheric, European graphic novel style and the tight, character-driven plotting associated with its creators. It matters as a concise example of how Dargaud’s line can pack a complete, moody narrative into a very limited number of issues.
