About the series
A short-lived DC anthology from the mid-1970s, Four Star Spectacular ran for six issues and offered a rotating lineup of the publisher's top heroes. The series was most frequently written by Cary Bates, Ed Herron, and E. Nelson Bridwell, with art from veterans George Papp, Jim Mooney, and Murphy Anderson. While brief, it served as a showcase for these reliable talents to deliver standalone adventures of DC's iconic characters.
