About the series
From 1947 to 1951, Wilson Publishing’s Four Color series delivered 67 issues of lively, all-ages comic adventures, most famously anchored by Carl Barks’s beloved Donald Duck and his nephews Huey and Louie. Alongside Barks’s warm, mischievous storytelling and art, the series also featured Carl Buettner and Dan Gormley bringing Disney and Warner Bros. icons like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Porky Pig to the page.
