Forever Evil: Arkham War

In 2014, DC Comics unleashed Forever Evil: Arkham War, a one-shot tie-in to the "Forever Evil" event written by Peter J. Tomasi with art by Graham Nolan. The story pits two of Batman's most dangerous foes—Bane and the Scarecrow—against each other for control of Gotham City's underworld, as the villainous Secret Society of Super Villains has thrown the city into chaos. With the Dark Knight absent, the inmates of Arkham Asylum turn the city into their own battlefield, making this a gritty, action-packed snapshot of a Gotham without its protector.
