Foolkiller

Marvel · 1990–1991 · 10 issues
About the series

In the early 1990s, writer Steve Gerber returned to Marvel with a darkly satirical reimagining of one of his most abrasive creations. Teaming with artist J. J. Birch, this ten-issue series follows a new, decidedly unstable Foolkiller who believes his holy mission is to punish those he deems morally bankrupt—using a "purification gun" that literally disintegrates his targets. It’s a grim, philosophical, and often unsettling exploration of vigilante justice and societal decay, standing as a sharp, cult-classic example of Gerber’s signature blend of social commentary and surrealism.
