Foguetão

Foguetão, a Brazilian comic series launched in 1961 by Empresa Nacional de Publicidade (ENP), ran for 13 issues and stands as a pioneering work in the country's science-fiction genre. Most closely associated with its creator, the artist and writer Jayme Cortez, the series follows the adventures of a rocket-riding hero, blending space opera with distinctly Brazilian cultural elements. Its brief but influential run helped establish the visual language and narrative ambitions of Brazilian comics during the early 1960s, making it a key reference for fans and historians of Latin American sequential art.
