Flucht zum Goldenen Berg, launched in 2016 by Edition AV, is a German-language comic series by writer-artist David H. T. Wong, co-written with Katja Anton Kronauer. The story follows a group of Chinese refugees in the 19th century fleeing to California’s gold rush—the “Golden Mountain”—and explores their arduous journey and encounters. With its single issue to date, this series offers a focused, historically grounded perspective on a lesser-told immigrant narrative.
