About the series
In the late 1990s, Yi-magination published Float, a five-issue miniseries that blended surreal fantasy with a distinctly off-kilter sensibility. The series followed a young boy who, after being struck by lightning, finds he can float, but his new ability draws him into a strange, dreamlike conflict with a mysterious figure known as the Rainmaker. Written and drawn by creator Yi-magination, the book is remembered for its ethereal, watercolor-style art and its quiet, melancholic tone, offering a small but memorable slice of independent comics storytelling from the era.
