In the late 1960s, Danish publisher I.K. (Illustrerede Klassikere) launched Flax, a short-lived but charming superhero comic that ran for 19 issues. The series centered on the titular hero, whose adventures blended classic pulp heroics with a distinctly European sensibility. While never a major international hit, Flax is remembered by collectors and Danish comics historians as a unique local take on the caped-crusader genre, showcasing the publisher's brief foray into original superhero storytelling.
