Flaming Carrot Comics

Bob Burden's Flaming Carrot Comics ran for fourteen issues from Dark Horse between 1988 and 1994, a surreal and long-running indie series that mixed absurdist humor with vigilante action. Burden wrote the entire run, with art by himself, John Eaton, and Joe Pruett, crafting a bizarre world where the titular, carrot-headed hero crossed paths with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The series is notable for its unhinged creativity and for helping to define Dark Horse's offbeat early lineup.
