Fiinbeck og Fia

One of the longest-running Norwegian comic series, Fiinbeck og Fia began in 1930 under Hjemmet/Egmont as a local adaptation of George McManus’s Bringing Up Father, following the comic misadventures of a bickering married couple. Over 94 issues spanning nearly a century, the strip was most frequently handled by McManus himself, Zeke Zekley, and later Norwegian cartoonist Knut Eide, who shaped its later decades. Its remarkable endurance makes it a unique cultural fixture, offering a sustained, locally beloved take on classic domestic humor.
