About the series
From 2017 to 2018, Titan Comics revived the classic Joe Simon and Jack Kirby creation Fighting American for a five-issue miniseries. Writers Gordon Rennie and Dan Abnett, alongside artists Duke Mighten and PC DeLaFuente, brought the patriotic hero back for a modern, action-packed romp. This series pits the Fighting American, his brother Johnny Flagg, and sidekick Speedboy against a fresh wave of bizarre, Cold War-inspired villains. It’s a brisk, energetic update that honors the character’s Silver Age roots while delivering sharp, contemporary adventure.
