Faust
Northstar · 1989–1990 · 6 issues
About the series
In the late 1980s, Faust was a controversial, ultra-violent limited series from Northstar Comics that pushed the boundaries of the medium. Written by David Quinn and illustrated primarily by Tim Vigil, with additional art from Mark Beachum and Scott France, this six-issue run reimagined classic mythology through a grim, urban horror lens. Its unflinching, graphic style and dark themes made it a landmark of the independent comics boom, cementing its reputation as a notorious cult classic.
