Fantastrips

Published by an independent German press, Fantastrips ran for four issues from 1981 to 1982, collecting and showcasing the experimental comic work of Helmut Fiege and Matthias Schultheiss. These two creators, who served as both the primary writers and artists, used the series as a platform for their distinctive, often surreal short stories and strips. Though brief, Fantastrips stands as a notable artifact of early-1980s German alternative comics, offering a glimpse into the creative partnership of two key figures in the country's underground scene.
