Over its eight-issue run from Apple Press, Fantasci (1986–1988) delivered a compact, creator-driven anthology of science fiction comics, with Don Lomax, Mark Stadler, and Kevin Davies handling the bulk of the writing, and Dave Hoover, Lomax, and Davies bringing the visuals to life. A snapshot of mid-80s indie comics energy, the series offered a rotating mix of speculative tales without a single ongoing narrative, letting each issue feel like a fresh portal into strange futures and off-world ideas.
