Fantagor

Richard Corben’s Fantagor (1971–1972) was a four-issue black-and-white comic from the underground press publisher Last Gasp, showcasing the early, raw work of the legendary artist and writer. Each issue presented a standalone, often surreal fantasy or horror tale, marked by Corben’s distinctive, heavily shaded linework and muscular, grotesque figures. Though brief, the series stands as an important artifact of the early 1970s underground comix scene, capturing Corben’s singular voice before he became a genre icon.
