Famous Stories in Pictures

Beginning in 1955, Famous Stories in Pictures was a series of twelve comic-format adaptations published by a succession of small presses—Marx, Philmar, P.M. Productions, Amex, and Bairns. Best known for its literary adaptations by writer Charles Dickens and artist Arnold Hicks, with later contributions from Georgina Campbell, the series offered classic tales in a condensed, illustrated form.
