Family Favourites, published by L. Miller & Son from 1954 onward for 34 issues, collected the best of Gus Edson and Chester Gould's newspaper comic strips into a British comic format. Anchored by Edson's beloved The Gumps and Gould's classic Dick Tracy, the series offered readers a reliable dose of soap opera and crime-fighting adventure. Dick Fletcher's artwork also appeared across the run, rounding out a title that served as a tidy, accessible sampler of mid-century American strip storytelling for UK audiences.
