About the series
From 1989 to 1990, Archie Comics took readers behind the school doors with Faculty Funnies, a five-issue series spotlighting the teachers of Riverdale High. Written primarily by George Gladir and Victor Gorelick, with art by Stan Goldberg and Dan Parent, the series gave Mr. Weatherbee, Miss Grundy, and the rest of the faculty their own comedic moments and classroom capers. A lighthearted spin-off, it expanded the familiar Archie universe by putting the grown-ups in charge of the punchlines.
