Ewoks

In 1987, Marvel UK launched a playful ten-issue series centered on the furry, forest-dwelling Ewoks, bringing the beloved Star Wars creatures to the comic page. Writer Dave Manak and artist Warren Kremer led the charge, with Kremer’s signature cartoonish style giving the series a light, kid-friendly energy (and John Romita also contributing art). Published during the late-’80s Star Wars comic boom, this series is a charming, low-stakes adventure that captures the Ewoks’ resourceful, community-focused spirit without the epic battles of the main saga.
