Estórias Negras

In the late 1960s, Brazil's Gráfica Editora Penteado Ltda. (GEP) published Estórias Negras (1966–1970), a 27-issue comic series that offered a distinctive blend of horror, suspense, and adventure stories. Known for its moody, atmospheric art and a rotating roster of Brazilian creators, the series carved a niche in the country's post-Golden Age comic landscape. Its short but impactful run stands as a notable example of mid-century Brazilian genre comics, reflecting the era's pulp sensibilities and local storytelling traditions.
