About the series
Marvel's Essential Ms. Marvel (2007–present) collects the earliest adventures of Carol Danvers, the original Ms. Marvel, from the 1970s and 1980s. The series is anchored by writer Gerry Conway and artists Joe Sinnott and John Buscema, who helped define her cosmic-powered, feminist heroics. As a black-and-white, budget-friendly collection, it preserves the foundational stories that established Carol as a key Marvel character before her later rise as Captain Marvel.
