Gerben Valkema and Eric Hercules crafted this short-lived, three-issue series for the Dutch publisher Complot in the late 2000s. The strip follows the titular character, Elsje, a sharp-tongued, cynical young woman navigating the absurdities of modern life with a deadpan humor that quickly became the series' trademark.
