A long-running, self-published Spanish horror anthology series from Grupo El Wendigo, El Wendigo ran for 106 issues across four decades, from 1973 to 2013. Its title and much of its macabre, folk-horror atmosphere were shaped by the work of creator and primary artist José "Pepe" González, though the series featured a rotating cast of writers and artists. As a foundational pillar of Spanish underground and fantasy comics, it mattered for its sustained, independent vision and its influence on the country's horror-comics scene.
